Digital Videocassette Recorder DSR-50 (NTSC) DSR-50P (PAL)
| Compact, Lightweight and Portable: the ‘Go Anywhere’ DSR-50/DSR-50P VTR from Sony. The DSR-50/DSR-50P is a new DVCAM™ portable recorder built for a wide range of applications that includes ENG/EFP production. With an innovative and compact design that includes a built-in 2.5-type LCD monitor, the DSR-50/DSR-50P performs a multiplicity of roles. It is ideal for the Polecam system, with its 26-pin CCZ connector it attaches directly to the Polecam interface unit allowing total control from the joystick. The system can be mounted on the back of the Polecam and powered from the auxiliary power supply outlet. This unit gives maximum performance with component in/out, composite in/out, S-Video in/out and Firewire in/out as well as 4 channels of audio. |   |
DSR-V10 Digital Recorder
This portable DVCAM recorder can be mounted on the Polecam boom in place of the Polecam monitor to enable high quality portable recording. Power for the recorder can be taken from the auxiliary power supply on the interface unit with an S-Video signal taken direct from the camera CCU. This is a DVCAM recorder (not miniDV) and according to some engineers is better than Beta SP but not as good as DigiBeta.
