John Gillan. Polecam Owner/Operator of JG Broadcast recently traveled across California for a month, filming action sports such as motocross, jet skiing, BMX biking, rock climbing and skateboarding. The footage is to be made into 10 x 1 hour programmes.
John was shooting for UK based production company Electric Sky, and the material will be broadcast by a new US Discovery 3D channel launching soon.
The first german TV channel SKY was doing a talk with Kiefer Sutherland in 3D.

Polevision/Kamtek recently took their Soccer Polecam coverage to the next level – with their new HR069 3-CCD 1/3” HD lens 3D combination.
The matches that were covered where FC Bayern Muenchen Vs Werder Bremen and Eintracht Frankfurt Vs Hamburger SV for the german DFB Pokal cup. These games were a test for the second half of the german Bundesliga league.
SKY is planing to cover a game each matchday after the winterbreak for the new channel.

Polecam were pleased to show off their Fish Face Underwater Polecam Rig as part of the Wildscreen Wildlife Film Festival in Bristol, UK from 11-15th October 2010.
As well as demonstrating in the Festivals exhibition area throughout the show, Polecam also participated in the Wildscreen 2010 Underwater workshop held at Bristol University Union Pool on Sunday 11th October.
The workshop was split into two groups, catering for beginners and advanced underwater filmmakers alike in classroom sessions followed by the chance for delegates to get hands-on with the Polecam Fish Face underwater housing fitted with a Toshiba IK-HD1 camera at the pool-side.
Polecam distributor ACS France were present during the recent SATIS exhibition which took place in Paris from 19-21 of October 2010.
IEC group welcomed ACS to their stand to give them the opportunity to showcase ACS's brand new Polecam and to shoot a poker game demonstration that they had organized for the shows 3 days duration.
This event was the perfect platform to exhibit for the first time the HR069 3 CCD 1/3” C-mount HD lens launched at IBC in September.
Nicolas Hoffnung of ACS explained, “We were all very enthusiastic when we discovered the high picture quality on the screen combined with the Toshiba IK-HD1 camera”.
