From Rob "Polecat" Wick out on the WET Take That Progress Tour 2011.
The story with my Polecam and this particular director goes back a year or so now. He was very anti Polecam due to a shoot I did with him with an Iconix HD canmera and a very very low light weirdo Goth show. He was shooting that gig with Thomson HDs and they were struggling so the poor little Iconix had no chance.

For the 5th year running I have filmed the annual Street Dance weekend in London with the Polecam. I had to use the Red-byte down-converter to down-convert the HD signal to component as the event is still shot on DVCAM.
Polecam's pan and tilt head has 1000 degrees of horizontal rotation which is perfect for capturing an overhead view of of the Street dance routines. The shots are shown live onto the screens and give the audience a unique view of some of the Street Dance freezes and moves.

Shooting a joint 3D production for the Smithsonian Institute and a well know US 3D documentary channel, we were located in the Panama rainforest for a couple of weeks to shoot interesting subjects from the jungle.

Whilst shooting a joint 3D production for the Smithsonian Institute and a well know US 3D documentary channel John Gillan took the time to view the Panama Canal "Seeing the Panama Canal was also amazing. Ships just fitted between the locks with 6 inches either side. I was able to roll the Polecam on its dolly alongside the sides of the lock very quickly and capture the whole process of a single ship going through".
